well, not directly cheap but greatly working for me since 2 years with b/w Laser, color scanner and fax, connected via ethernet AND: all of this working from Linux via hplip: HP Laserjet 3390. Also if you want to know WHO uses WHICH HP device successfully on Linux: Simply register with your mail address for the hplip Mailinglist at the hplip website. > > I trust much direct users testimony.
