Hi Clark,

Please post your question as a new message to opensuse mail list. 
Changing subject doesn't remove referrals that make message threaded,  
so you basically hijacked the thread which is not very popular. 

BTW, gtkzip and ziptool are file compression tools that will not make Iomega 
ZIP drive running. 

Until you repost message I'll see how to connect parallel port ZIP drive.
