I'm sorry, nvidia-config doesn't seem to work for me. It's just not there. And
I know for sure that I've installed the latest drivers for my PC. Isn't there
an alternative? Someone suggested nvidia-settings, just that it doesn't work.
It says something like GTK Warning: cannot open display. I ran them as root,
but nothing.

Ooops.. I meant nvidia-settings. I'm at work and don't have SUSE
here.. only Solaris :-) I was relying on my poor memory... sorry
about that.

The GTK warning sounds like just a simple display rights error. Did
you try sux instead of su when you switched user to root? (you
shouldn't need to, but it's always worth a try)

One thing I just noticed... you're running the 64bit install... That
may be the issue/problem. I'm running the 32 bit install (on an
AMD64 X2 3800* CPU) and it works perfectly there.

Maybe someone on the list here can comment on any problems or success
with running nvidia-setup on a 64 bit install.
