I have tested xwinwrap and coolbg.
coolbg is easier to run, from terminal just run coolbg, and it will list all
xscreensaver you have to play on the wallpaper. Cool.

But xwinwrap is even cooler. It allows you to play any xscreensaver you have
on the wallpaper but with more control such as transparency and nice level.

The command is a bit non intuitive though (pls mind the wordwrap):
xwinwrap -ni -o
0.6 -fs -s -st -sp -b -nf -- /usr/lib/xscreensaver/atlantis -window-id
WID -delay 10000
xwinwrap -ni -argb -fs -s -st -sp -b -nf -- /usr/lib/xscreensaver/blocktube
-window-id
WID -delay 10000
xwinwrap -ni -argb -fs -s -st -sp -b -nf -- /usr/lib/xscreensaver/glmatrix
-window-id
WID -delay 10000
xwinwrap -ni -o 0.6 -fs -s -st -sp -b -nf -- mplayer -wid
WID -quiet /usr/lib/xscreensaver/aurora8x6.wmv
xwinwrap -ni -o 0.6 -fs -s -st -sp -b -nf -- mplayer -wid WID -quiet -loop 0
Bliss.wmv
