OK. I see. 
  cd /usr/src/linux/
  make cloneconfig
  make prepare
I'm not sure is "make prepare" necessary, it could be included in 
target "cloneconfig" but it doesn't hurt. 

I'll correct the wiki page in a few minutes.

No. I needed root login after compiling was done.
