Should your Bios recognize your disk "somehow" but erratically (i.e. way
to small), you can also use the "smaller disk" for /boot and make use of
the remaining space from Linux.
Surely, an additional PCI controller could be faster, at least
sometimes ;-)), but it is not needed.

* I'm remembering SBM. Before many years, I was using XOSL, that was coming
bundled with SBM and Ranish partitioner. I'm going to install it and play
with it.
