I am using SuSE 10.2 with all updates applied. (kernel 2.6.18.8-0.3)
IBM eserver xSeries 360 with quad Xeon 2ghz processors.
6 gb memory.
Bios is up to date.

When I boot SUSE without Xen the processor speed is reported at 2000 and the 
system clock keeps time correctly. When I boot the xenpae kernel Xen 
incorrectly reports a 2493.830 MHz processor. This causes the system clock to 
lose 12 seconds every minute. (The ratio of a processor being used as 
2493.830 rather than the 2000 mhz processor compared to 60 seconds results in 
48.13 seconds - exactly the loss in time.)

When running SUSE Yast hardware detection the Bios section reports correctly 
as 2000 in the Xen kernel and the SUSE kernel. But when booting Xen, even 
though the Bios section in the Yast hardware detection is correct, the CPU 
section reports the processor speed incorrectly as 2493.

I have tried to:
1. Turn off hyperthreading in the bios.
2. Enter boot parameters 'acpi_pm_good'.
3. Enter boot parameters 'acpi_skip_timer_override'.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can get Xen to identify the correct 
processor speed? This is making it unusable on this machine. Thanks
