Can you use Ctrl-Alt-F10 to switch to terminal, before it crashes, to see the log. Than you can test output on Alt-F1, Alt-F2, etc, but skip Alt-F7 because it is standard GUI with YaST, that doesn't tell much. This might be helpfull to debug.
