I doubt if they're giving you any problem, especially if they can read
other CDs. 
If I were you I'd try using a different CD burner.

FYI, I only ever use k3b for burning CDs.  It has never caused a
problem, whether it was a VCD for our DVD player or a mini-ISO for
installing suse.
