[opensuse] PCMCIA fax modem card install

Have a older thinkpad with an internal softmodem. Still working on a working 
driver but in the meantime i would like to use my PCMCIA Thinfax modem.
This modem I still use regularly with my HP200LX palmtop.
The modem seems to be recognized but I have no idea how I can address the 
PCMCIA modem in my 10.2 laptop.
Read a lot about the new PCMCIA card setup but that did not help me much.
Somebody can help me out?
