I've copied the mail the webmaster sent me and pasted below:

Hi, Hylton. Thanks for your interest in our products.

I believe that the VMTN forums have the ability to meet your needs. All
forum posts are indeed archived. For example, take a look at the VMware
Server forum:

http://www.vmware.com/community/forum.jspa?forumID=219

There's a "search forum" box at the top of the right column; if your first
search is unsatisfactory, there's an "Advanced Search" form included with
your results. Note the time range; the default is posts within the last
week. Change this dropdown if you'd like to search back to the beginning of
the forum.

On each forum topic, there's a link at the top entitled "Watch this topic."
Clicking here (assuming you are using the forums as a logged-in user) will
cause all new posts to be emailed to you.

When you are a logged-in user, clicking on the link for "Your Control Panel"
gives you access to two relevant choices: "Always watch topics I
create" and
"Always watch topics I reply to". Note also the link on this page for "My
Watches", which allows you to control your currently active watches.

Finally, if you have an RSS tool, note that each forum is available as
an RSS
feed.

I personally am just a user of the forums; I have no direct responsibility
for them. If you have comments or feedback on the forums, the best way to
reach the people who manage it would be via the Web and Community
Suggestions
forum:

Best wishes--
