Hi, I bought an HP D4260 printer today to get some print work done. I actually ended up getting this one cause the sales guy just told me i could return it if it didn't work on my system so i thought i'd give it a try without previously looking if cups is actually supporting it. Anyways, connected it to my Suse 10.2 system and it works just fine (recognizes it as a printer from the D4200 family). Now since it should go on my "server" to be made available on the network with samba, i connected it on my suse 10.1 server and.... it gets recognized as HP DeskJet only. Wouldn't print test page so i thought i'd just copy the ppd file from Suse 10.2 over and that should do it... but nada. File gets imported nicely in Yast but printer still isn't printing a test page. Any ideas or suggestions? Should i update my server system, to 10.2 (I should not need to eh?)
