Hi, sorry, bit of a a hijack, but I have the opposite problem - when I use mplayer (gmplayer or smplayer) the monitor will not go blank and shut off? When I go to the Power management and just adjust the values up and down and save it works again. As if the "process" needs a restart after mplayer was run?
