I can't even seem to do that. This really surprises me. The flashing screen just won't go away and as I said the entire screen acts like a huge mouse pointer. ie. If I move my mouse the flashing changes drastically and if I'm careful I can make the screen stabalize enough to read it. I'm using an old Gateway monitor on my "new Dell". Could that be the reason?
