I loaded the Torrents into KTorrent early in the morning (German time)
on the 4th. They started out slow, but within an hour were
downloading at the max my ADSL2 connection could handle.. in excess of
1500kbps combined. I have been seeding (not as fast of course) ever
since.

Torrent speeds are tied to a few things. First... are you using the
original KTorrent build from the 10.2 DVD? If so, update it to the
latest PM build. It is many many times faster. Also, have you
configured your firewall and/router for Torrents? A few ports need to
be forwarded to make it work "better". And.... does you ISP do
traffic shaping on Torrent data? This can really kill your download
speeds with Torrents.
