From console try:
kdesu 'smart --gui'
In KDE > Main Menu right click and select Menu Editor.
Browse to menu item Smart and see that "Run as different user" is checked
and "Username" is root.
Well i used menu editor to change the command to:
kdesu "smart --gui"
and that works for me.
