no idea. i am just using whatever came with 10.3 to read pdf's. will
worry about upgrading to adobe reader if that ever breaks on me.

looking at the requs:
http://www.adobe.com/products/reader/productinfo/systemreqs/index.html#80linux

it sounds like it's supposed to work fine.

out of curiosity, have you tried perhaps re-downloading the rpm?
perhaps use wget or curl? these errors might be related to corrupt
file.
