Wow, 

I really think it is a big mistake to disregard 2.6.23.. 

I have the vanilla installed now on my Dell D820.. and I LOVE it.. Still have 
to test the Wireless tonight when I am at home.. But it seems quite a bit 
faster, and responsive.
