That is a good question; I am not too sure. I tend to execute kghostview from 
the command line, and have only noticed the error in the few weeks or so.

I am not sure if it was following an update; I have just checked and noted 
that qt3 was updated recently

which is the time frame that I noticed the change. This could be a 'red 
herrnig' though and anecdotal.

I am not too sure if displaying a post script file as root changed the 
permissions.
