I believe this is a wodim option with the standard pipe, have not tried
it though. I use growisofs in an automated script mainly because it
refuses to write to an iso image with a script which avoids some those
"Doh!" moments :-)

Nice to see that this does work as expected... neat ... will see if the
option you used work with my device later...
