This morning I took down the server at the office for maintenance, when I brought it back up it had not networking working. I have two nics in the machine, one onboard invidia based ( asus motherboard), and one Intel 1000 nic. What I finally found was if I went into bios an disable the onboard nic then I had working network but the minute you re enable the onboard nic all networking stops working. I'm at the lost on what to do. I need two network cards for this machine. I have both of the PCI slots filled with the Intel nic an a raid card. I do have one free pcie slot. So I need a good pcie network card if anyone has a suggestion on what to buy that will work with SuSe 10.2 / 10.3. Also wondering if anyone on list using the asus m2n-e sli motherboard has had any problems with the onboard nic.
