***************** Dennis, You didn't mention a budget, but since the Lexmark printers are usually chosen on the basis of low cost, we'll assume you don't want to spend too much. As Todd mentioned, HP printers are always a good choice as are Epsons if you want to go with an inkjet printer. I've used both brands and now have one of each available, but prefer the Epson. I've also found a location for excellent inks at a low cost! I still prefer the separate items, like printer for printing and scanner for scanning, but the all in one items are quite popular now and provide good results. Your faster printer is going to be a laser printer and color lasers have come down in cost a lot! If the extra cost is not prohibitive, I think that would be my first choice with a good inkjet next. I don't think you will find much, if any, differences in the cost of supplies going with either, since that is where the manufacturers make their money.
