Tried the ./mozilla renaming and the safe-mode. It both worked.
When I googled for my error I found:
http://www.linuxforums.org/forum/suse-linux-help/106449-firefox-crashing-suse-10-3-a.html
Reading this, I suddenly remembered (sorry!!) that I had installed a
theme (Qute) in firefox. Deinstalling the theme , and the error is gone!
So, thanks for your help!
