It seems I am running the ATI driver that I installed some time ago to address an offscreen rendering problem in my Java3D development - didn't help. In checking, though, I seem to be running an older version of fglrx (8.28.8-1) than was mentioned in an earlier post (8.42.3). Might try upgrading that when I get back home. Thnx.
