No. I don't think I have subscribed to any of the experimental stuff.
Anyway, I am doing a clean install now and hope the things will be back to
normal.

There was no X related update yesterday. There was an X server update on 
october 24, I don't see anything later than that.

Are you sure you didn't install an update from some other repository? Like
an 
experimental X server from the build service?

What does

rpm -qa --last|head

say?
