Hi to all, I use opensuse (before suse linux) for several years and I hoped that the 10.3 release was faster updating the packages since the package manager was redone.
Right now when I try to update, the update program download every file started with "patch-" from the server and it takes forever to do so and I don't have a fast internet connection. Is there any other way to update my system? After a few months there will be too many "patch-" files to download. Can the update software be improved so the info regarding the new files to download be synchronized with the already installed updates? I used Debian before and even with a slow internet connection the update of the new package list didn't took too much time and was only a gzipped file.
