I have an x61 and for a couple of days I have been playing with the ipw3945, even I got a new router thinking that might do the trick. No luck. Then I remove this one and and load the new one. Now it is working great. This is from opensuse 10.3 release note: <<< You can change the the default using YaST. Click "Software" -> "Software Management" and remove the ipw3945d package.
