Hello,

I set up bonding on our SUSE machines as described in a thread from a few weeks ago. Instead of boosting network performance, the effect was to degrade network performance significantly.. The setting was the "rr" round robin setting. Can someone suggest an alternate approach? The servers in question are a CVS server and an apache web server. The performance when pulling the cvs tree was far lower with bonding enabled than when using a single network card. In addition, some network applications would not work at all with bonding enabled (specifically Orcad License Server That may be related to the fact that the License server is licensed to the MAC address of one of the network cards.) This is on 64 bit OpenSUSE 10.2 and 64 bit SLES 10.2.

Thanks,

Joel
