I have a Aspire 5100 with a AMD Turion 64 x2 TL-56 running openSUSE 10.3 and
everything works fine, had to use NDISwrapper for the wireless card but thats
all, anyways to the point the webcam that Acer uses in their laptops you can
find the driver in the webcam driver repo that SUSE has. The only program
that I have found that they work with is Kopete and GAIM, or should I say
Pidgin.

The card reader works out of the box, I can't say anything about the suspend
eather, I haven't played with it. One thing that I find about my laptop is
that the open sound system is louder than AlSA, so I would test both on your
system to see which one works best for you. I do have to say I like Acer's
laptops for about $700 USD I have a laptop that preforms better than my
friends $1,000 USD Dell laptop.
