Greetings,
Anyone know how to get an SMC 2862W-G USB wifi adapter working in
Opensuse 10.3? In yast>network devices it shows up as EZ Connect G
device (the name of the thing), but I can't get it to connect to my
router with WPA-PSK. I enter the ssid, and my passphrase, but it won't
connect. I don't know if this is a hardware setup problem or an
encryption issue. The device is known to work on other OS's.
Which OS's?
According to http://linux-wless.passys.nl/query_part.php?brandname=SMC that
devioce seems to be problematic for a native driver, but did you allready try
ndiswrapper and the windows driver ?
Just wanted to report back that using ndiswrapper and the windows xp
driver works great! I followed the instructions on the opensuse wiki and
the usb adapter works fine. Many thanks!
