Carlos,
Try "startxfce4" and see if that helps.
No good.
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~> startxfce4 -- :2
/usr/bin/startxfce4: Starting X server
Unrecognized option: --
use: X [:<display>] [option]
-a # mouse acceleration (pixels)
-ac disable access control restrictions
...
...
As I'm starting a secondary session (to go into virtual terminal #8) I
need ":2", but it is ignored:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~> startxfce4 :2
/usr/bin/startxfce4: Starting X server
Fatal server error:
Server is already active for display 0
If this server is no longer running, remove /tmp/.X0-lock
and start again.
Invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 keygiving up.
xinit: Resource temporarily unavailable (errno 11): unable to connect to X
server
xinit: No such process (errno 3): Server error.
It tries to use "display 0", and that is no-no. It is in use, of course,
that's why I request :2
If I try "startxfce4 --help | less", the pipe to "less" is ignored, and it
says:
Fatal server error:
Unrecognized option: --help
Seems buggy as hell to me :-(
