You should definitely use the DVD install as it is optimized for your particular distribution. If you need a more recent version of the package, then just hang in there. Usually, a new rpm package for that particular update will be in the repositories in short time. Now, my question to you. In your first post, you said you are using 10.3. If so, why would you use 10.2 DVD for installation of the package? You should use your 10.3 DVD.
