Try running the "KSensors" frontend and right-click the icon, select configure, select the preferences tab and here you can select what units to display. This may or may not change what is displayed in the sysinfo:/ screen; I myself do not see temperature here so I cannot test this idea. As a bonus, if all you are looking for is temperature monitoring, then the KSensors program itself may be your solution.
