Don't let that fool you. It's a long-standing bug in Adobe Reader (which is what you meant, I assume, since Acrobat is available only on Windows and Mac and the program formerly known as Acrobat Reader was renamed Adobe Reader quite a while ago). Anyway, as I said, this problem with copying from Reader is specific to that application. The manifestation I see most often is that the first copy after launching it works correctly but all subsequent attempts to copy do nothing. In some cases I've seen character set confusion leading to gibberish (presumably a simple replacement cipher, but I've never bothered to try to figure it out.)
