The app is Audacity.
Installed version is listed as 1.3.4-2.pm.beta-x86_64, the latest
version available, as far as I know. I can also tell it has a new info
window at startup.
I ran "rug refresh", but the "update(s) available" is still hanging in
there. The last time I had a problem, I think it was cured by rebuilding
the zmd data base. But it wasn't the same problem, and I seem to have
misplaced the command I used.
