Dear my friends... I build my SOHO facility with opensuse10.2. The internet gateway has sonyericson k-608i as its modem.
I use BIND as the DNS server. And squid as the proxy server. ip-masquarading from SuSEfirewall. All of them are in the same linux-box. Everything runs properly if the internet gateway use 'manual dialup'. Everybody can use internet from their workstations. I configured the modem with YaST2 and checked the 3 option (Dial on Demand, Modify DNS when connected and Automaticall Retrieve DNS). I also checked the External Firewall Interface. I filled the DNS server number: 202.146.255.3 and 202.146.255.5: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~> nslookup > server Default server: 202.146.255.3 Address: 202.146.255.3#53 Default server: 202.146.255.5 Address: 202.146.255.5#53 Default server: 192.168.23.200 Address: 192.168.23.200#53 If I do DoD, the clients can not connect to the internet. Is it because of sonyericsson driver for k608i as what happened 4 years ago on Fritzcard ISDN modem version 2.0? Please tell me where is my mistake.
