I had to look up eSATA but that's OK. I learned something new.

BUT, you say that Linux doesn't support SATA?

My computer boots OpenSuSE 10.3 from a SATA drive. Kubuntu 7.10 boots
from hda and I can mount both SATA drives on my system and access
directories/files from both.

What am I missing?
