You've obviously never met a macbore.
Oh, yes, I have.
During the Apple ][ / Apple ][+ days, I was a very
big Apple fan.
Then, at a pre-relaese demonstration, an Apple rep
came to Purdue and demonstrated the first Macintosh.
UGH! They were turning the computer into nothing
more than an appliance!
And basically, yes, the type of people who are
die-hard Mac users are people who want to do
nothing more than click a button...and don't
even want to have a choice of buttons, because
there is ONLY ONE....like a car with only a
gas pedal, but no brake!
That the company has come to rely upon these
people with that sort of mentality -- and their
willingness to pay PREMIUM prices to get such
creativity-limiting schlock, has basically
turned me against Apple. I will concede that
they finally made a GOOD decision my moving from
the complete-chaos of cooperative multitasking
to a BSD kernel
But I can't really put up with the products
from a company which panders to people who
are not only ignorant, but also know it and
are proud of it.
