[opensuse] HowTo combine wlanconfig , madwifi , ifup , iwconfig , D-Link AirPlus DWL-G520 Wireless PCI Adapter(rev.B) , SuSE 10.2

Hi,

I'm looking for a simple way to use ifup under SuSE 10.2 to activate my
D-Link wlan card as an accesspoint.

The card runs with the madwifi driver. The problem is, that the standard
YAST setup only makes the card run with the Managed mode. The Master
setting creates an error:

Error for wireless request "Set Mode" (8B06) :
    SET failed on device ath1 ; Invalid argument.

The madwifi diver provides wlanconfig to run the card as an accesspoint:
wlanconfig ath create wlandev wifi0 wlanmode ap

I am looking for ideas how to combine wlanconfig and iwconfig with
ifup.
