The guys at RedHat/Fedora are working on a rpoject named IcedTea, which provides 64bit plugin, based on the Sun's GPLed Java code: <http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/IcedTea> IcedTea is installed with latest Ubuntu Gutsy, and I found this Gentoo article how to make it work under Gentoo: <http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-4507079.html?sid=e0eaaf43091af3dbf8a5b32541a11144> I had no time to try similar approach on openSuse, but as far as both opensuse and fedora are rpm based distros, maybe it'll be easy to make fedora's rpm to work on opensuse.
