I used to have USB working on my 10.3 - my USB stick worked just fine, and USB camera had some problems, but could be make to work. After the latest kernel upgrade they stopped working altogether - i.e. they are not detected at all. When I plug in the USB stick, the light does not light. When I plug in a camera, it appears that it's trying to connect (lights flash), but in the end nothing happens. No messages appear in /var/log/messages. In fact, looking in /proc, /proc/dev/usb does not even exist at all! There seem to be a lot of messages related to usb failure in boot.msg (below), but I am not sure what they mean, apart from the fact that something is not loading, obviously, since everyting seems to be unknown.
