If you want to be sure, I would recommend the gparted live cd, which will let you resize your Windows NTFS partition an add your necessary partitions for Linux, from which you could install 10.3 with great confidence. You can specify within the install exactly how and where it will install. Changing around the partitioning (and even formatting) within gparted (gui frontend to libparted IIANM) is quite intuitive and comfortable if you have some idea what you are doing. HTH. >
