The "relay=none" is interesting. When I send email, I get the remote mail
server as relay
Looking in my logs, I can find some entries like that:
/var/log/mail.debug-20070217.bz2:Feb 17 11:42:51 nimrodel
postfix/smtp[15756]: 0AD7DB6EA2: to=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, relay=none,
delay=0.33, delays=0.18/0.15/0/0, dsn=5.4.4, status=bounced (Host or
domain name not found. Name service error for name=lcalhost.valinor
type=AAAA: Host not found)
which corresponds to time I was configuring the system (notice the
lcalhost.valinor). The "relay=none" is because postfix was sending direct.
Otherwise, it is very similar to the OP problem. I would think of a
misconfigured local DNS server.
Another sample:
/var/log/mail.debug-20070401.bz2:Mar 31 20:40:39 nimrodel
postfix/smtp[30420]: CF999B6FB9: to=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>,
relay=none, delay=10, delays=0.31/0.07/10/0, dsn=4.4.3, status=deferred

(temporary problem)
And another sample:

This is because the daemon "spamd" was down.
