[opensuse] Uninstall totem

I am installing 10.3 and i do not want totem (i want to use mplayer). 
When i get to the "software" section during the install, i uncheck totem 
and it will create a bunch of dependency conflicts and that unchecks a 
bunch of need things for gnome. What is the correct way to uninstall 
totem during the installation?
