My suggestion for anyone looking into PVR tech this year (in the US) buy
a cheap KWorld card , they have hardware encoding\decoding, digital
cable\QAM and a 40.00$ price tag.
Where can I find one of these cards for $40. Everywhere I look they
are closer to $60.
Also: please define what was meant by "Also Run" with regards to SUSE?
Will the card work on SUSE/

By "also ran" I mean that openSUSE is doing nothing special to support
the "media center" everything out there in this technology can and more
than likely already does, with some work run, on openSUSE . There is no
work to compile an openSUSE with MYTHTV bundled as far as I know.
