.. I changed the pop connection encryption to SSL and now it is
working (actually, this was also said in the gmail's instruction web-pages,
so I should have rtm).
.. I still have a problem with the smtp server though.. I have tried
every kind of encyption option (none,SSL,TLS), but evolution is not able
to send any mail.. ("connection timed out").
