Adobe is getting more subtle, if I've understood the feature table properly at <http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/matrix.html> With acroread 8, I'll be able to save filled-in forms (can anybody confirm that before I try an upgrade?) but only if the author of the form specifically enabled it. And the author can't use standard Acrobat to do that, they have to upgrade to pro or 3d. $$$$ => Adobe :) A cunning plan!
