FYI, I had a terrible nightmare with an HP laptop I bought and
returned recently HP. Don't get me wrong it was a good price and with
the exception of the battery that was sticking out 12-cell
(standard!!) it was a really nice machine. Some of its components
nVidia NIC and broadcom wireless, plus the CD burner were not
recognized so I returned. Otherwise the processor was AMD X2 1.9Hz
TL-58 and it was fast :). I eventually got a Sony vgn-FZ240 which has
Intel components and despite a problem I am still having with wireless
(4965agn) everything else works. Good luck with your search!.
Regards,
George
