Joe, have you used Xen kernel with intel video to run Compiz personally? I'm considering a new motherboard and still deliberating whether to take Intel video or Nvidia. With a non-Xen kernel, I've had much better experience with Intel than Nvidia in terms of getting it to work - simply out of the box.
