Just to follow up: I noticed some suspicious messages in my dmesg output: ACPI: PCI Interrupt Link [LNKB] enabled at IRQ 5 PCI: setting IRQ 5 as level-triggered ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:00:1f.3[B] -> Link [LNKB] -> GSI 5 (level, low) -> IRQ 5 ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:00:1f.5[B] -> Link [LNKB] -> GSI 5 (level, low) -> IRQ 5 ACPI: PCI interrupt for device 0000:00:1f.5 disabled The device 00:1f.5 is the sound card, according to lspci. Does this mean that I have some kind of IRQ conflict? I tried to reboot with ACPI turned off, but that didn't seem to change anything.
